We are proud of our work

In the early 1950s, Joseph Schätz worked as a salesman for a company that supplied imported hardware. After the company closed, he took the initiative to sell domestically manufactured hardware. At that time, it was already common for architects to request custom modifications or even custom-designed hardware. It was during this period that a parallel lathe was installed in the back of his mother's house, and, together with his brother Rudolph, they carried out the requested modifications and creations.

They lacked experience as hardware manufacturers, although they were familiar with the industry from a commercial perspective. Through experience and interaction with various professionals, they were able to gradually develop a deep understanding of the processes and exceptional manufacturing skills..

By the mid-1960s, the company also expanded its production and marketing of faucets and fittings. Joseph and Rudolph worked as partners. While Joseph focused on sales, Rudolph oversaw the manufacturing process.

Today, Norbert Schätz, Rudolph's son, continues the family legacy with the support of his siblings Wilhelm and Elizabeth, his son Franco, and an excellent team of artisans and goldsmiths.

who we are

THE PROCESS

We take the time to make products that last.

An exclusive interdisciplinary team composed of artisans, goldsmiths, metalworkers, and designers creates each custom piece with great dedication, giving it a unique identity. The time spent crafting each piece is part of the secret to its perfection.

The working methodology is conventional. The artisans draw the pieces by hand, and the goldsmiths custom-make them according to the client's requirements. Both work on the pieces at different stages, whether in detailing, coating, or polishing, and through various casting techniques—traditional, micro-casting, and shell molding, to name just a few—chiseling, polishing, and artisanal coating, combining the use of specialized technology with professional intervention.
